Reviewer Guideline
The IECEP Journal also shares the belief that any scholar who does scientific publications should also endeavour himself in the peer-review process. To assist the EB in assessing and evaluating the submitted papers, all reviewers are enjoined to observe the following:
- Reviewers are expected to complete the review on or before the deadline as a matter of professional integrity.
- When declining the invitation to review for any reason, the reviewers should inform the editors immediately so other reviewers can be contacted.
- All reviewers should be transparent on all possible forms of conflict of interests with any of the authors of the paper before agreeing to review. The conducting editor determines the severity of the conflict and decides whether the invited reviewer should still be involved in the review.
- Treat all submitted papers with strict confidentiality. The contents of the paper under review should not be used by the reviewer until it is published.
- Observe objectivity and civility in the review. The review must be based on the merits of the work and provides constructive advice to authors for the improvement of their paper. Refrain from giving insensitive or unprofessional comments to authors. Also, do not give comments to the authors on whether the paper is suitable or unsuitable for publication.
- Notify the conducting editor immediately of any similarity of the paper under review to any published article.
